Skillfully hand-embroidered by Berber ladies from the heart of the Middle Atlas Mountains using the double-sided embroidery technique, our Ethnic Moroccan tablecloths can be used on both sides as the geometric designs are identical on each side. Our artisans have perfected this embroidery style since their early adulthood, inheriting the tradition from mother to daughter. Their mastery is evident in the creation of intricate geometric patterns without the need for preliminary designs on the fabric.

This remarkable artistry is known, in Morocco, as 'Tarz el Ghorza,' which translates to Counted-thread embroidery. This technique meticulously calculates the number of warp and weft yarns for each stitch, resulting in a symmetrical, uniform embroidery pattern with stitches of precise length, thus, requiring weeks, and even months, of dedicated effort to be embroidered.

Sometimes, people with tables of multiple shapes prefer to choose tablecloths that will work on each of those tables. However, choosing a round tablecloth is a great idea because round tablecloths not only can fit round tables but also square and rectangular tables and actually many people prefer the look of a round tablecloth on a rectangular and square table even more.


Round: it can fit all round table sizes ranging from 25 to 75 inches. You also have the option of utilizing straight pins to gather the surplus fabric along the table's perimeter, resulting in a charming ruffled appearance.

Square: This tablecloth will work perfectly on a square table if it is large enough. It only requires the tablecloth’s diameter to be larger than the diagonal of the square table.

Rectangular: To fit this tablecloth for rectangular tables, you’ll want to ensure that the tablecloth is at least six inches longer than the length of the table and six inches wider than the width of the table. You can also use straight pins to gather the excess fabric around the table’s edge, creating a ruffled look.

Please, note that our table covers and napkins are 100% hand cut so they might be couple of inches longer or shorter than the measures mentioned above.

Also, all the patterns are embroidered using the counted thread embroidery by hand so there might be some slight imperfections. As the proverb goes ‘’ The beauty of hand-made lies in the imperfections, anything perfect is Machine made.’’

While many sellers market their table covers as 100% cotton, here, at Moroccantastics, we believe that customer trust is key to driving loyalty and business success.

Although we believe that cotton is a perfect material for tablecloths, but we also recognize that it’s less durable and has many drawbacks such as its tendency to shrink after washing, and its inability to resist stains as other materials.

That’s why we have chosen a fabric with a blend of 90% cotton and 10% Polyester to avoid shrinkage after washing, to make our table covers more resistant to stains and most importantly to increase the durability and protect the environment by conserving resources and reducing wastes and the environmental impacts of repair and replacement.
