Tamegroute Ceramic Plate – Handmade Moroccan Plate with Wild Green Glaze
An authentic Tamegroute ceramic plate shaped by earth, fire, and time.
This handmade Moroccan plate comes from Tamegroute, a legendary pottery village in southern Morocco at the edge of the Sahara. Known worldwide for its raw green glazes and unpredictable kiln effects, Tamegroute pottery is not designed to be perfect. It is designed to be alive.
Each ceramic plate is hand-shaped from local clay, then coated with a mineral-rich glaze and fired in traditional wood-fed communal kilns. Inside the kiln, flames, ash, and heat move freely across the surface, creating volcanic textures, smoky markings, glaze breaks, and deep natural color variations. No two Tamegroute plates ever emerge the same.
The result is a ceramic plate with depth, movement, and character. A surface that feels ancient, organic, and expressive. This Moroccan plate works beautifully as a serving plate, decorative plate, or centerpiece for a table or shelf that values authenticity over uniformity.
More than a plate, this is a piece of living ceramic history, carrying the marks of fire, chance, and the hands that shaped it.

Handmade Note
Every Tamegroute plate is fired in a traditional kiln where temperature, ash, and flame move freely. Variations in color, surface, thickness, glaze flow, and firing marks are not flaws. They are the signature of true Tamegroute pottery and the proof of its artisanal origin.
